Inspired by the Titanfall universe, Apex Legends is an online multiplayer Battle Royale title that was released in April of 2019. With more than 100 million players worldwide, it is also one of the most played video games on the planet.

Unsurprisingly, it also has an esports scene with the 2022 Apex Legends Global series having a prize pool of $1 million.

Like last year, EA has partnered up with Twitch and is awarding those who watch the PlayApex stream with drops that players can claim from the Inventory page.

That being said, Apex Legends players are now reporting (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) that the new ALGS drops are overwriting ALGS rewards from last year.

Many say that their ALGS 2021 drops have suddenly disappeared. Some thought it was a visual glitch and tried restarting the game and verifying game files but it did not help bring back last year’s rewards.

Same issue! All of my 2021 ALGS Drops disappeared the moment I redeemed the new 2022 items, and logged into the game. Had the “champion” charm on my R-301…. GONE. Had the “let’s go!” holospray on equipped on every character…. GONE. Double checked my twitch drops inventory. Both the 2021 and 2022 drops are checked off as claimed/redeemed. Checked my Twitch connections: EA account still connected. Logged into EA to confirm the connection (still there).

There is an issue with Twitch Reward Drops (Not Twitch Prime items, there is a difference). Right now, when a new item set is added, like the recent ALGS Bundle (Charm, Bloodhound Skin, Prowler Skin, Holospray), the oldest items are removed from your account, regardless of when you claimed them. I first noticed this when my original Mirage ALGS items were removed after I claimed new load screens from twitch drops. Now I’ve lost a Bangalore and Alternator skin. I never see this issue talked about except on Twitter and really hope it is addressed because I miss my Mirage items.

Many are frustrated and wondering what’s the point of collecting new drops if they are going to overwrite their existing ones.

While Apex Legends developers are yet to acknowledge the issue with ALGS drops, EA Help did comment on the matter and shared a possible workaround that involves unlinking and relinking EA account with Twitch.

Another user suggested visiting the Twitch drops page and reclaiming the rewards.

I had this same issue awhile back. I fixed it by going to the twitch drops page: https://www.twitch.tv/drops/inventory and reclaiming the awards again. They then showed back up in game.

We hope Respawn Entertainment and EA comment on the matter and find a way so players keep both ALGS drops. If and when they do, we will let you know so stay tuned for updates.
