Developed and published by Riot Games, League of Legends is one of the most popular free-to-play MOBA games. Launched in 2009, it generates revenue by selling players cosmetics such as skins and emotes.

League of Legends has turned into a worldwide phenomenon and has more than 180 million players worldwide, which is more than Steam’s 120 million user base.

While the game is pretty stable, League players often encounter bugs and issues such as the recently reported missing refund token bug.

It is often referred to as the world’s largest esport title with the 2019 League of Legends World Championship witnessing more than 100 million viewers.

That being said, Riot Games recently announced that players who tune into LoL Esports will be eligible for exclusive rewards.

But according to recent reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), it looks like some League of Legends players are not getting their LoL Esports drops even though they tuned in to the stream for several hours.

before i’ve usually put on lcs, lec etc in the background so i can get drops. are they not doing that now? the “drops are eligible” thing is not there anymore. tried to google it too but didnt find anything lol. its been replaced with “enjoy the show”.. anyone who knows? @RiotSupport Are LCS drops super rare or something? I’ve been logged in and watching matches for several days now on lolesports.com, and the little green check below the feed says drops are enabled, but nothing ever seems to happen.

Many say the drops show up on the LoL Esports page but haven’t appeared in the Loots tab in the game client. Players are confused and wondering if they will get the rewards associated.

In case you are unaware, Drops appear as cards that feature poro(s) with each representing a unique reward. These are completely random and are triggered by in-game events. Players get an on-screen notification whenever a drop is triggered.

Fortunately, Riot Games Support has acknowledged the League of Legends LoL Esports drops issue and said that the developers are working on a fix. However, there is no ETA on when players will be getting their rewards.
