Pokemon Go is a successful AR-based mobile game developed by Niantic. Like the other games in the series, it is based on capturing and training Pokemon around the world.

The main difference between Pokemon Go and the traditional titles of the saga is that the map through which you move and find items/Pokemon is based on the real world.

With that being said, Pokemon Go players have been facing an annoying issue related to in-game notifications (as a raid invitation). more specifically, these are arriving with a long delay (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10).

According to multiple reports, lately, when Pokemon Go players receive a raid invitation, the raid is no longer available when the player opens the notification.

Nothing but issues getting remote raids today. Asking for invite, see it pop up, click within moment and either it’s gone ” no raids”…. or enter gym, ” none with that code” … or get into raid with 5, (no one left) but only 3 in gym so exit and see 5 in gym, re-enter still only 3, re-exit says 5, re-enter only 3. FRUSTRATING. Must be glitch in raids.

It seems that the problem is that the mentioned notifications/invitations are arriving with a long delay. So, they can arrive hours after the end of the raid/event in question.

My raid invitations are arriving very late

I have been trying to host a raid for an hour now, i send invitations with over 100 seconds left and only after 50 seconds the first person joins and by then its too late, cos at the 20 seconds mark we arent even 3 people. What could be the reason?? This is the first time this happens to me, i have tried over 6 times with different people.

Niantic is aware, potential workaround

The Niantic team is aware of the reported issues. The company is investigating the matter, so that Pokemon Go trainers receive raid invitations/notifications as normal.

Hi Trainer! We’re aware of the issue that some Trainers are not receiving in-game notifications such as raid invitations. Our team is looking into it, & we hope to have a fix soon. Opening all Gifts you’ve received may resolve this in the meantime. Let us know how it goes! ^SH.

As a potential workaround, the company recommends that players open all the gifts they have received and have pending. This could return normal functionality to notifications.
