The Galaxy Watch 4 arrived as the latest generation of Samsung’s smartwatches family. Unlike previous models, the company changed its own Tizen OS for the new version of Wear OS.

One of the advantages of the change in the OS is the compatibility with many more apps through the Google Play Store. One of the apps that sports fans usually look for is Nike Run Club.

However, in recent weeks, smartwatch users have been facing issues related to the app. Apparently, Nike Run Club stopped being compatible with the Galaxy Watch 4, for no apparent reason (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).

Galaxy Watch 4 users can’t find Nike Run Club on Play Store

According to multiple reports, many Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 users are unable to find the Nike Run Club app on the Google Play Store. So, they can’t download it (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

The last 10 years I tracked all my runs with Nike run club and want to continue this. I recently bought a GW4, because I read it’s working with run club. Now they removed the app from the app store and any 3rd party syncing App is either not supporting run club or Samsung health.

I tried syncing to Strava and from Strava to run club but that is just ridiculous and not working very well.

It should be noted that the app was previously available for the watch through the Google Play Store. However, it just suddenly disappeared for them.

Nike Run Club on Wear OS

One of the more exciting things about getting the GW4 was to have NRC on the watch. It was a little buggy so I uninstalled and when going back to reinstall it I can’t find it on the play store of the watch. Even when searching from apps on your phone, where it’s installed. Anyone else having the same problem?

It should be noted that, according to reports, the Nike Run Club app for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 was not working properly. Apparently, the GPS function had a noticeable delay when tracking the user.

Galaxy watch 4 app

I just got a galaxy watch 4 to track my runs without a phone. Nrc was working OK but was a bit slow getting location, so I thought I would try uninstall and reinstall. Now it has gone from the goggle play store. Is it just my watch or is the app not available?

A workaround to install the app

While waiting for an official word on the issue, there is a workaround. Basically, it consists of installing the app through sideload. To do this, you must first download the app from this link.
