New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on January 21, 2022) follows:

Paramount+ is one of the best known streaming services out there. It faces big names in the industry such as Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max or Amazon Prime (among others).

But, in the last few days, users of the service have been experiencing some annoying issues. The reports are related to problems with volume levels.

Paramount Plus ads/commercials volume too loud

To be more specific, Paramount Plus is suffering from an ads volume issue where the commercials are too loud. So, once a commercial appears, users suffer from a sudden shrill sound (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

one thing that annoys me about paramount plus is that the different shows often have wildly inconsistent volumes so i’ll need to turn the volume way up to hear them but the ads and network splash logos are always at a really high volume which causes my ears to die.

Hey
@paramountplus
you suck. To make sure exhausted parents who just want half an hour of calm will pay for the no ads plan, you stick an ad into the middle of Paw Patrol where the volume goes from 0 to 10 to SCREAM at my child that they NEED to own the Paw Patroller.

In addition, this issue would be affecting users for a long time. In fact, there are reports related to the Paramount Plus ads volume glitch published in October (more than three months ago) (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

Hi, thanks for letting us know. Ad volume is a known issue that we’re working on. Have you considered our Premium plan? It includes ad-free streaming* during on-demand content.

However, there is still no estimated date for the arrival of a fix. The company suggests users to contract a Premium plan, which is ads-free.
