Owned by Amazon and launched in 1995, Audible is an audiobook and podcast service. With thousands of books available in audio format, users can purchase and stream books and listen whenever they want.

It is the largest audiobook service available in the United States and as of August 2020, features more than 200,000 audio programs from leading publishers and broadcasters.

That being said, users recently reported that they were having trouble with search results in both the app and the website.

And as if botching up the search function wasn’t enough, Audible subscribers are now saying (1,2,3,4,5) that the service is sending them multiple duplicate emails telling them that their pre-order for the American Muckraker has been delayed indefinitely.

Moreover, it looks like the audiobook streaming service is canceling the pre-order for reasons unknown.

Many say that they are receiving loads of emails saying the same thing with some users being frustrated because their inbox is getting filled with emails from Audible.

Ok @audiblesupport, I get it… My preorder isn’t going to be available. Do you need to be emailing me every few minutes to remind me you won’t be delivering #AmericanMuckraker as promised?

@audiblesupport, apparently your parent company can’t assist with this issue. You have emailed me the same exact email, basically back to back. This is harassment. Please fix this or I’ll cancel my subscription.

Some users are frustrated to the point where they are saying that they would cancel their subscription if Audible does not fix the issue soon.

When users informed them they were getting multiple duplicate emails about the American Muckraker getting delayed, Audible Support quickly acknowledged the issue and said they have escalated it for investigation.

However, they did not share any information or timeframe on when it will be fixed.

Hey Beau. We’re sorry for any inconvenience that these emails have caused you. We’ve made our team aware of the issue so they can further investigate it. Let us know if there’s anything else we can assist you with.

We hope Audible soon finds out the root cause of the issue and stops sending multiple emails to its subscribers concerning the indefinite delay of American Muckraker’s unavailability.

As always, we will keep an active track of the developments on this one and update the story as and when required so stay tuned.
