Zwift is the service/game that combines home cycling training programs with an MMO, through which thousands of users worldwide can interact and compete with each other.

However, in recent days, some Zwift users are facing an annoying glitch that does not allow them to continue progressing after reaching a certain section of the Tour of Zwift 2022 (TDZ).

According to multiple reports, affected Zwift players are not receiving credit for completing stage 2 of the TDZ. Also, for some the program is even crashing when they get to this phase (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7).

Zwift TDZ stage 2 not registering or credited

Users affected by the issue report that, after completing Zwift TDZ stage 2, they are not receiving credit to their accounts. That is, the game does not detect that they completed the stage.

Here is my Situation:

Today I rode the TdZ Stage 2, 2022 ride Category A and finished in 8 or 9th place. I gave the ride a really good effort, however I think there is a glitch because I am not receiving credit for the 2nd stage in zwift or companion app, nor is Zwiftpower reflecting the finish on my profile.

The complainant further adds:

One thing I noticed is my total distance is 17.4mi and official distance is 17.6mi. However, I started with everyone and finished past finish line banner. I even received the End Ride pop up and saved it. Zwift power shows I did the ride in activities but I do not show up in contention

Crashing and freezing for some too

Also, there are cases where the glitch affects more severely. Some players report that Zwift crashes or freezes on their devices after completing the challenge.

TDZ stage 2 ipad froze during ADZ descent?
Not sure if this is common but I finished TDZ stage 2 and when starting the descent from ADZ my iPad screen froze. My companion app continued on iPhone but I still had to restart the Zwift app to be able to resume.

Anyone else experienced this?

Zwift team is already aware, fix in development

The Zwift team is already aware of the glitch. This was confirmed in response to reports on the support forum. The company is currently working on a fix.

Our team is aware of a bug that occurs when starting the Alpe du Zwift descent, affecting Zwifters’ ability to save their ride.

If you encounter this bug, our team will automatically credit your Tour de Zwift Stage 2 ride activity. Additionally, all events will remain as scheduled. If you still wish to complete Stage 2 this weekend, the Standard Ride (Category B or D) and the Shorter Ride (Category C) are available and are unaffected by this bug.

They also reveal that they hope to have Zwift’s fix prior to the Tour Feb 7 – Feb 13 make-up week ready. Meanwhile, affected players can only wait for the rollout.
