Apex Legends Rampage is back but players are complaining

Developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts, Apex Legends is one of the most popular Battle Royale titles to come out in recent times.

Having said that, Apex Legends developers recently removed the Rampage LMG from the game because of a bug that enabled players to keep the gun in a charged state permanently.

In case you are unfamiliar, players can use the Thermite Grenade to charge the gun and is one of the most powerful weapons in the game.

That being said, Respawn Entertainment released a patch yesterday and brought the gun back in the loot pool.

They also reduced the damage output from 28 to 26 and increased the Thermite consumption per shot when it is charged.

But within hours of its comeback, Apex Legends players started complaining (1,2,3,4,5) that the nerf was not enough and that they were happy without Rampage.

Many say that it is basically a G7 Scout with a large magazine and low-skill cap. While some say that Rampage should be a care package weapon, others say that the charge up should be removed.

I’m sorry, when it was removed nobody complained and when it’s back I hear nothing but complaints, I seen a dude say a single bullet does over a shield cell of damage? And I’m tired of seeing it triple stacked.. it’s a ruthless weapon that gives way to much rewards for its hits… also it shoots through doors.. I’m not tryna beat a dead horse with this, but to see people literally drop everything they have for a gun? Literally means a problem. To see a gun so strong you have more than half the community use it because of the ridiculous Meta? There’s a problem.. nuff said

This last week was the most enjoyable week of apex for me in a long time. I think the “nerf” of the rampage is just blatantly disrespectful to players that put the time in to get good at the game. Rampage= easy mode in a game where easy mode should never be an option. It’s a fully automatic extended clip G7 in my opinion and it’s the most pathetic gun to pick up. Everyone knows if you can’t win your gunfights to pick up a rampage, and I don’t think apex was ever meant to have that.

We hope Respawn Entertainment listens to Apex Legends’ player base and make some changes to the Rampage so it feels balanced.
