[Poll] Halo Infinite: Don't nerf Mangler, requests community

Halo Infinite offers its players a great set of weapons, each with its strengths and weaknesses, to face in matches using different types of approaches and strategies.

One of the best weapons in the game is the Mangler handgun/human revolver. This is very powerful and has become a favorite with players, thanks to its firepower and frequency of appearance.

Apparently, some players were unhappy with the weapon. This is precisely due to the Mangler’s spawn cycle in Halo Infinite, which is reportedly too quick for a weapon of such power.

Apparently, the professional players are the ones who have complained the most about this situation. So, many of them (like FaZe Snip3down) started a campaign asking 343 Industries for an adjustment.

More specifically, some professional Halo Infinite players are requesting that the spawn cycle of the Mangler revolver be adjusted, so that it does not appear as often. They think that this unbalances the matches.

This request reached the ears of the developer team. Tashi343i (Halo Esports and Viewership Lead at Microsoft/343 Industries) confirmed that they are internally discussing the weapon balancing.

But, it seems that many ‘non-pros’ players do not agree with the above. Multiple reports emerged in the last few days claim that a nerf to the Mangler revolver in Halo Infinite is not necessary (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).

Stop. Over. Balancing. it doesn’t have to be perfect one to one with everything. The br doesn’t have to be objectively better in all situations.

It’s a pick up, it can be more powerful than standard weapons in melee range. Is also harder to hit shits beyond close to medium range.

It’s balanced just fucking fine. Stop it. Seriously. You already nerfed tbe commando too much and the ravanger.

Apparently, many believe that the Mangler is one of the funniest weapons in the game, as is. So, they point out that nerfing it would be a ‘failure against the community’.

Has 343 Failed the Fans?

They also recently revealed that they will be nerfing actual good/fun weapons (such as the Mangler), rather than buff the weapons that are truly broken (Ravager? Pulse Carbine?), or include legacy weapons to balance the field (where’s the Brute shot? The Spartan Laser? Plasma Rifles?). Thus, we will be left with a plethora of broken/useless weapons, rather than a. balanced battlefield.
