New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on June 22, 2021) follows:

Twitter is among the most used apps on iOS and Android. The social networking and microblogging service has over 300 million active users.

However, it seems an issue has been troubling users of the Twitter app lately where they are not receiving any notifications.

As of this writing, multiple reports regarding the same are still pooling in on the microblogging platform itself.

It is unclear why the Twitter notifications are not working for users of the app but the issue appears to be widespread.

Also, Twitter has not yet made any official comments on the matter so whether this is an outage or not remains a mystery as well.

User reports even outline that Twitter notifications of all sorts including tweets, tags, and messages are not working.

While all this is clearly indicative of an outage, nothing is certain until an official announcement comes out.

This is inconveniencing users as they are unable to keep tabs on their profiles because of the said issue.

It is possible that the microblogging and social networking service provider might already be working to resolve the issue.

However, this is still based on our speculation and users are still reporting about the said issue.

Hopefully, Twitter soon provides more clarity on the matter and fixes the problem for good.
