New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on April 23, 2019) follows:

Mortal Kombat 11 finally landed on PC and consoles today, and as has been the case with many multiplayer online games, players are reporting about server issues on the launch day.

While some gamers are experiencing server lag, others aren’t able to connect at all. We’re seeing a lot of such reports on social media platforms like Twitter. Here are some tweets:

It’s worth mentioning that not all players are facing these server issues. We couldn’t find any official word on these glitches until now, but we’re keeping an active tab on the situation, and will update the story as soon as we have something newsworthy.

Until then, share your current Mortal Kombat 11 experience with us in our comments section below.

Update 1 (January 05, 2022)

08:55 am (IST): Many MK11 players are experiencing issues with the game once again as the online services appear to be down and not functioning at the moment.

This is why I hated Mortal Kombat 11. It requires internet connection for everything, even to earn rewards in single player modes. This means that if the servers are down then the game is unplayable. @NetherRealm you better not make Mortal Kombat 12 an always online game. (Source)

Can someone tell me how to fix this server issue it says “you are not connected to mortal kombat 11 servers. Please sign in or try again later” (Source)

Apart from Twitter, reports of an outage have also been pouring in over services such as Downdetector.

Fortunately, WB Games has acknowledged the outage and has confirmed that they’re working on a fix for the issue.

We’re aware players are currently unable to access online services in Mortal Kombat 11. This is being investigated, and we will send out another message when things are back up and running. Thank you for your patience. (Source)

Update 2 (January 06, 2022)

10:52 am (IST): WB Games took to Twitter to confirm that all servers which were not working recently are now back online.

All platforms are now back online. If players resume a previous MK11 session from a standby state on consoles, they may need to relaunch the game. We’ll continue to monitor any new reports that come in, so please let us know if you encounter any issues. Thank you! (Source)

Update 3 (October 10, 2023)

04:03 pm (IST): Due to scheduled maintenance, players are receiving ‘there was an error while matchmaking’ error.

07:30 pm (IST): Maintenance has ended and the servers are back online.
