Launched in 2006, Spotify has gradually grown to become one of the most used audio streaming services. It has millions of users worldwide from both Android and iOS platforms.

Despite having the native music app on iOS, many iPhone users prefer Spotify for audio streaming in the first place.

Having said that, with such a vast number of users, small bugs and glitches become almost inevitable. As a result, Spotify users oftentimes report different kinds of bugs with the service.

Spotify UI in iOS 15 hide song info

Likewise, some iPhone users are now complaining about a weird UI glitch in Spotify that cuts some part of the user interface on the top of the app. This makes a part of song information hidden in the notch area.

Here are some reports for reference:

I’ve noticed what I think is a UI scaling issue on iOS. I don’t know what version of the app it started on, but it’s a recent bug and is still there on the latest version. (8.6.78) When viewing an album, the upper edge of the album art is hidden by the notch. (Source)

For example my playlist name will glitch out and shift higher on the screen and then be stuck behind the notch on my iPhone. Been happening for weeks now it’s really starting to annoy me (Source)

This issue has been bothering iOS users for quite some time now. It was first reported by users nearly two months ago with version 8.6.72.1009.

And now, a handful of reports suggest — enough to confirm — that it still persists even after several app updates.

As per reports, this issue occurs periodically and most of the time it remains unnoticed. But as soon as it comes to sight, it becomes unavoidable and annoying.

Workarounds like clearing cache or re-installing the app do help to solve this glitch, but after some time it reappears. So, there seems no way out until it gets resolved officially by the devs.

This is annoying since users are not able to see song info and this broken part of the user interface also looks kind of weird.

While it’s still unclear if this is caused by iOS 15 or it’s the glitch in the application, we hope that it gets sorted out as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, neither Apple nor Spotify has acknowledged Spotify iOS 15 UI hide song info issue as of yet. And when they do we will update the section down below with the latest information, till then stay tuned.
