New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on December 30, 2021) follows:

Recently, COD: Warzone received a big update with several new features, among which the new Caldera map stands out. But, the release of the update has been a bit bumpy.

In the last few days, there have been reports related to the new update of the game that include freezes, crashes, and loss of performance. Now, disconnection problems are also being reported.

According to many COD: Warzone players, they are suffering from a server disconnection bug since the new Caldera map arrived (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).

COD: Warzone Caldera server disconnection bug frustrating players

The players affected by the issue agree that the current condition of the Warzone servers is not good. The disconnection problem may appear at different points in the game.

For example, for some, the server disconnection bug in Warzone Caldera appears in the middle of matches, being expelled from them and negatively affecting their statistics.

Ive tried just aout everything and at my wits ends. I keep getting disconnected mid match almost every game with a lost connection to host error. Im fine in the matchmaking process, the pre game lobby and have issues as soon as i hit the ground. Sometimes im able to play a bit, other times i D/C as soo as my feet hit the ground. The game will freeze, ill still have a looped audio of what was going on at the time of the hitch.

Meanwhile, in other reported cases, disconnection occurs during warmup. That is, when the bug happens in these cases, the players cannot even enter to a match.

For starters, the 1st game I try to play once I start up Warzone, always gets disconnected in the warmup before the actual game starts, and after that, every other game disconnects while in the warmup.

Secondly, I tried to count how much time I lose during matchmaking, disconnects and actually playing, and I found out that in 2 full games I had (about 45 minutes), I lost about 15 minutes just by trying to play and waiting for a server/game.

Raven Software already aware, max player count temporarily reduced

Currently, Raven Software (the developers of the game) are already aware of the reported disconnection problems. In addition, they took a temporary decision to try to reduce the occurrence of the issue.

(All Platforms) Core Modes: Max player count has been reduced to help mitigate issues causing players to disconnect from matches.

So, for now, it only remains to wait for the company to finish solving the issue and the game conditions return to normality.
