[Updated] Fortnite Winterfest gifts notification remains even after opening all presents issue acknowledged; all gifts from MJ bug surfaces too

Fortnite, one of the most popular Battle Royale titles to date, recently started the Winterfest 2021 Challenge. The holiday event has challenges that can be completed both inside and outside of the battlefield.

The event rewards players with gifts that they can open upon completing a challenge with more rewards waiting if you complete several challenges.

Having said that, Fortnite players are now saying (1,2,3,4,5) that after going to the lodge and opening all their Winterfest gifts, they are still getting a notification that says they have 1 present unopened.

Many are confused and trying to find the last gift. Some say they tried finding the last gift and were unable to do so.

Restarting the game and logging in again does not seem to help at all. It looks like the bug is only showing up in the Battle Royale mode.

When I go to the lodge it says I can open 1 present but I have none left. I’ve clicked everything and checked the list of rewards and there’s nothing else. Anyone else have the same issue?

My Winterfest Lodge says I still have one present left to open, but I’ve opened all left- and right-side presents, and I have both Polar Peely and Krisabelle. Am I missing something? (Playing on PS4)

Fortunately, Fortnite Status has acknowledged the Winterfest Gifts notification issue and said they are working on it. However, there is no timeframe on when it will be fixed.

As it turns out, there is another issue affecting Fortnite players. Many are saying that when they go to the lodge, all their gifts suddenly have a tag saying it is from MJ (Mary Jane) from Spiderman.

Moreover, some say that they are unable to open claimed gifts. A bunch of players say that restarting the game usually fixes the glitch but others say it makes no difference.

So yesterday I opened up Fortnite to claim my present, but when I went into the lodge all the presents said they were opened when they looked unopened and they all said from MJ, polar peely was waving inside of the gift which was still melting and krisabelle was on the right side doing the busy emote. It’s not the first time something like this happened.

I went to open my daily gift and I can’t open any of them because it says all of them have been opened already and now all the presents say they are from MJ, is anyone else having this problem?

With Epic Games yet to acknowledge the issue, it is still unclear what is causing all the gifts in the lodge to have the ‘from MJ’ tag.

10:50 am (IST): A fresh report from The Sun also highlights the situation where all gifts are from Spider-Man’s MJ. According to the report, there’s a chance that all the gifts will be Spider-Man themed and the unopened gifts might mean that players will receive these presents.

02:00 pm (IST): It appears that some players confused Fortnite’s response regarding the persistent notification even after opening all gifts as we highlighted above. Players have begun assuming that they’ll be getting another gift that Fortnite is working on.

However, this isn’t the case. Fortnite isn’t working on bringing a new gift, instead, it’s working to fix the glitch with the persistent notification as mentioned in a report as well.

02:00 pm (IST): Reports suggest that considering the Winterfest 2021 is supposed to end on January 06, and the 15th present could be dropped by Fortnite on the last day to makeup for the downtime.
