Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is a popular collectible RPG game that was launched back in 2015. Developed by EA Capital Games and published by Electronic Arts, it is set in a distant corner of the Star Wars Galaxy.

Ever since its release, the game has gained massive popularity and as a result, crossed the 100 million player mark in November this year.

That being said, Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes players are now reporting some bugs in GAC. If you don’t know, the game added Grand Arena Championships mode that is similar to Territory War with players fighting each other.

GAC awarding incorrect banner

Star War Galaxy of Heroes players say that the game is awarding an incorrect amount of banners with many reporting that they are not getting banners for setting defenses.

There is a banner problem. You only get 64 points once you finish the sector/zone, not 69 points. This gives a small advantage to those that do not set a full defence. If you only put down 1 team for your defence, your opponent will have a potential max score of 1739, but you could get 1803 if you can solo all his teams. That actually leaves some wiggle room so you won’t have to solo every team with full protection to win.

In game text is showing the maximum attack points for character battles is still 64 points. I think it’s supposed to be 69 now with the changes and the addition of +1 per defeated enemy. Win +15 First Try Bonus +30 Surviving Unit +1 Full Health +1 Full Protection +1 Unused Slot +4 Defeated Enemy +1. So a solo character full health/protection win should be: 15+30+1+1+1+4+4+4+4+1+1+1+1+1=69

Fortunately, the developers have commented on the matter and said that they are aware of the bug. As it turns out, they will be fixing the Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes incorrect banner issue sometime next year.

Duplicate teams or characters in defense

In addition to the aforementioned issue, some say that they are facing the same team or characters twice even though they beat them. Players are also saying that their opponent can set the same team in two different territories in GAC.

This is really a game-breaking bug that players can use it to have an unfair advantage over their opponents. Restarting the game seems to make no difference.

I set a team and then those characters remain in the available list when going to set subsequent teams. Restarting the game did not fix the issue. I set teams a second time to see if it would force an error/prompt me to change, however it allowed the teams to be set again.

Similar to other people posting two teams on defence I was able to post a Mon Mothma team on defence but still have them available for offence. Tried closing and restarting and they are still available for me to use. Attached are screenshots showing this.

With EA yet to acknowledge the duplicate team issue, it still remains unclear if and when it will be fixed. Nonetheless, we will be keeping a tab on the matter and let you know when the Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes GAC issues are fixed.
