Madden 22 Zero Chill Journey Home challenge not progressing or bugged, issue acknowledged

EA’s Madden 22 is the latest installment in the celebrated American football video game series. Developed by EA Tiburon for EA Sports, the game has had its fair share of controversy with players reporting numerous issues.

While previous iterations of the game were criticized for lack of features, Madden 22 is a significant improvement in the sense it comes with detailed staff management and an improved skill tree progression system.

Having said that, the game recently started the Zero Chill program a few days ago that is expected to bring in a ton of content including more than 160 players.

But Madden 22 players are now reporting that they are unable to progress in the Zero Chill Journey Home challenge. Those affected say that no matter how many field goals or touchdowns they score, the challenge simply refuses to register.

This is making it impossible to 4 star the challenge and preventing players from collecting the associated rewards.

“Journey Home” Challenge under “Zero Chill Winter’s Tale” requires to score a field goal for the Bonus star. Doesn’t matter how many field goals I kick it doesn’t register that the requirement has been met. Happens 100% of the time. Doesn’t matter if I score a field goal first or touchdown. Nothing makes it work. I am unable to collect the rewards because of I can’t complete this field goal requirement.

As it turns out, EA Help says the developers are aware of the Madden 22 Zero Chill issue with The Journey Home and said that it is currently under investigation.

However, there is no timeframe on when it will be fixed. In the meantime, you can try a workaround suggested by an EA Community Manager that involves scoring no more than one field goal and a touchdown to get all 4 stars.

Hey there. Does it count for you if you kick a game winning field goal and only 1 field goal the entire game? If it still doesn’t work can you submit a screenshot here with the description of the challenge?
