New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on December 14, 2021) follows:

Spotify, the music streaming service, is compatible with many multimedia platforms, allowing it to be used almost anywhere without much trouble.

Taking the above into account, Spotify has a desktop client. This allows users to access all the features of the service from their computer or laptop.

But, it seems that Spotify Desktop is reportedly presenting some issues that affect the ability to organize the playlists.

Spotify Desktop app bug prevents scrolling up while dragging a song on playlists

According to multiple reports, the issues started after the most recent update of the Spotify Desktop app. Now, the scrolling up movement while dragging a song on a playlist gets stuck.

Can’t drag songs in a playlist on PC

Let just say i just added a song and want to move it to the top of the playlist. Normally on pc, i will just need to click on it and drag it to the top, the song will automatically moved when i moved it but now it doesn’t move anymore and it takes so many time to move song. Anybody have the same issue?

Before the update, the user was able to drag a song from a playlist and move it to the top without problems, since the entire interface would be scrolling until it reached the top.

But, now, while dragging a song to move it to the top of a playlist in Spotify Desktop, the top bar (where items such as titles, albums and date added are displayed) blocks the scrolling up movement.

That is, before, the user could move the song from the bottom to the top of a playlist. Now, the user must stop dragging constantly to manually scroll the interface, and then resume dragging the song.

Scrolling down while dragging on playlist works fine

The problem reportedly affects the scrolling up movement. So, you can still move a song to the bottom of the playlist without problem.

It seems that everything is related to a bug in the playlist top bar, that blocks the scrolling up while dragging songs. The bug came with the latest update to the Spotify Desktop app.

It seems that the line that shows which rows is for song titles, albums, date added, etc now follows on the top as you scroll down your playlists, and blocks the top where you would drag a song to scroll upwards. It might always have been there, but it never stopped you from scrolling upwards while dragging a song. This means that you can drag and scroll downwards just fine, but you cannot do the same upwards.
