Call of Duty Warzone is one of the most popular Battle Royale titles right now. Released last year, the game was integrated with Black Ops Cold War and this year’s Vanguard.

Players can enjoy several game modes such as Rebirth Resurgence, Buy Back Solos, and Plunder. While the title was positively received by critiques, several bugs have made the game unplayable at times.

Many are frustrated since they are unable to use either fists or knives or anything that does melee damage and are wondering how such bugs are making it to the stable release. Players say that the issue surfaced after the recent update.

Some say they tried reinstalling their game and verifying Warzone files but the game does not register any damage even if they stab other players.

Played my first rounds of Warzone on Caldera today… the map seems pretty cool but even with a 3080 I’m dropping down to 25fps and melee was broken. I like the map and it seems like a good change of pace but I wish there weren’t so many technical issues

This is a really serious issue since melee is a core part of any shooting game. Some said that the update is a blessing for them because other players were unable to kill them.

Moreover, a bunch of players say that they experienced the issue when only when playing Caldera. Unfortunately, Raven Software seems to be unaware of the Warzone bug and is yet to comment on melee being broken.

This means it is still unclear if the change was an intentional change or a glitch.

Nonetheless, we will be keeping an eye out on the matter and update this article whenever Raven Software says anything about the Warzone melee issue so make sure you stay tuned.

Until then, players will have to forget about Melee and are limited to weapons to get those sweet kills.
