Battlestate: Escape from Tarkov lag or stutter when opening inventory or trading acknowledged

Battlestate: Escape from Tarkov is an interesting FPS game with RPG touches and MMO features that also stands out for the emphasis that the developers have placed on its story.

However, in recent days, many players are complaining about an annoying problem that directly affects the gameplay, and it becomes very frustrating because it can even lead to in-game deaths.

According to multiple reports, Battlestate: Escape from Tarkov is suffering from severe lag when players try to open inventory or trade (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

All reports agree that the issue arises under the same conditions. Apparently, a lot of the times when trying to open inventory in Battlestate: Escape from Tarkov, the lag is very noticeable.

I’ve only had this bug since the launch of this wipe. About 30-35% of the time when i “Tab” Close my inventory in-game my entire game freezes while my audio goes crazy and it lasts for about 10-15 seconds and its infuriating because i know some day it will get me killed. Funny thing is this didnt happen to me once last wipe and only just started occurring after 12.12.

In-game lag or stutter is only part of the problem. Many reports agree that there are also audio glitches, or even crashes or a black screen that appears suddenly.

State of game is just so bad right now it’s unreal. In these first 7 days i got more bugs, glitches and disconnects that i got during almost the entire 12.11

The inventory is slow and laggy – it takes almost 5-10 seconds to move one item. Invites are sent with almost 10 second delay. Sound glitches start every time i enter the game or extract or die. Sometimes i cant extract at all – i get the black screen for like 10 minutes and then get kicked from the game 106-something error.

The game development team officially confirms that they are already aware of the performance issues. Currently, they are working on solving them as soon as possible.
