[Jan 12: Still broken] COD: Vanguard Panzerfaust Longshot challenge tracking issue officially acknowledged by Sledgehammer Games

COD: Vanguard recently received a patch intended for bug fixes in some game modes. However, there are still a few glitches that need to be resolved.

According to multiple reports, after the most recent update, COD: Vanguard maintains a longshot tracking issue on Panzerfaust challenges (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).

It should be noted that the game already had several problems in tracking objectives. For example, headshots and kill counters had been ‘frozen’ for several weeks for many players.

In fact, some players report that longshot tracking has been ‘broken’ since COD: Vanguard was released, and had not received a definitive fix as of yet.

But now, after the update, even though the other achievement counters mentioned above are working correctly, the longshot tracking still doesn’t work properly on COD: Vanguard.

The first game I played after the patch, I was able to get 1 longshot on shipment. Needless to say I was excited to try and finally finish the rocket launchers once and for all… after that first kill however, not a single long shot tracked. I hit someone from SUPER far away on a bigger map, no dice.

It doesn’t matter anyways because the last challenge is still 3 killstreaks which apparently means 3 planes in a match.

Post Update Bugs

Terrible performance in the menus on PC. Dropping from 60 to 12 frames when scrolling through tabs/classes etc.

Panzerfaust longshots are not tracking.

The 5th Panzerfaust challenge is still not tracking (kill 3 streaks in one game). Maybe it tracks air streaks which are impossible to shoot down but it does not track dogs which are the only feasible streak to destroy. Just give us the same challenges as the MK11.

Sledgehammer Games (the game developers) confirmed that they are already aware of the issue. They are currently investigating it, with no estimated time of arrival for a fix.

For now, affected players can only wait until the issue fix doesn’t take long to arrive. Meanwhile, they will not be able to unlock the items that require completing a certain number of longshots.

12:56 pm (IST): Sledgehammer Games took to Twitter to announce that they have implemented a fix for the Panzerfaust Longshots tracking issue.

A fix just went live in #Vanguard!

10:00 am (IST): Sledgehammer games said they will be bringing some changes to Vanguard that will help complete the Panzerfaust challenges.

03:35 pm (IST): It seems that this issue is not fixed despite the update. Players are still reporting(1, 2, 3) the Panzerfaust Longshot challenge tracking issue in COD: Vanguard.
