Spotify, the music streaming service, is suffering from some problems related to the detection of storage in its smartphone app.

According to multiple reports, Spotify app shows multiple SD card storage options for many users. This leads to other issues like deleted songs, canceled downloads and more.

Spotify shows multiple SD card storage for some users

For a couple of weeks, many Spotify app users have been reporting the issue. Also, nothing they have tried to solve it worked (not even uninstalling and reinstalling the app).

Unfortunately I too have to join this problem, I tried to do a data reset, I tried to contact the support team, who informed me of the presence of corrupt files causing the problem, but also after cleaning them and a clean install the problem persists.

obviously when I tried to directly download the files in the internal memory the problems regarding the cancellation of the downloads did not occur, but more sd cards were still appearing mirror of the internal memory.

Due to this problem, users are facing automatic deletion of their downloaded songs to the MicroSD, so they have to download everything again.

I’ve been dealing with this issue ever since I started storing music on my SD card. Every once in awhile Spotify will simply undetect my SD card, it then requires me to reselect it and redownload all my songs. Often in the storage section of settings two more SD cards are listed which are just mirrors of my internal storage.

In addition to the above, reports indicate that when users affected by the bug try to move songs from the internal storage of the smartphone to the MicroSD card, they cannot do so.
