Original story (published on December 6, 2021) follows:

Developed by Playground Games and published by Xbox Game Studios, Forza Horizon 5 is the latest installment in the Horizon series. Released on November 9 this year, the game improves on its predecessor and is set in the country of Mexico.

Upon its release, both users and critiques praised the game, with Horizon 5 attracting over ten million players within the first week. Moreover, the latest installment features the largest map ever in the history of the Forza Horizon series.

Nonetheless, like any other recently released title, Forza Horizon 5 has had its fair share of bugs and issues in the form of memory leaks, game crashes, and players being unable to join their friends.

Adding to their troubles, many are now reporting that Forza Horizon 5 is stuck in an infinite saving loop or at ‘saving content.’ Many say that the issue occurs whenever they try to upgrade their cars, tune or customize them or buy one.

The only way right now to fix the issue is to kill the game and relaunch, which is really frustrating. It seems that the issue surfaced after the December 3 update.

After the most recent updates I’m having more issues than ever before. Upgrades to cars getting caught in an infinite save loop (restart required) controller not being recognized after leaving my casa (restart required) just straight up black screen while attempting to enter free roam (restart required). This is trash, I’m on Series X and had not had issues like this before the most recent update.

Hi, after the latest update I have a problem with the saving content information when I buy a car for example, that never ends. I have to kill the game from the Xbox menu and launch it again. Right after a restart it works, I’m able to buy parts for the car or the car itself but after that it bugs out again. Is there any fix or workaround for this?

Thankfully, it looks like Forza Support is aware of the Horizon 5 issue where players are stuck in an infinite save loop or saving content. It seems they are already working on a fix, which should be coming out this weekend.
