Digital Wellbeing by Google is an attempt to get an overview of all your digital habits. It gives you a daily view and helps you analyze how much time you spend on different apps.

The feature is now built into the latest versions of Android and allows users to disconnect whenever they want to. Moreover, you can also set time limits on various apps. Additionally, one can also customize notifications for specific apps.

However, some who use Digital Wellbeing on iOS and Google Wifi Access Points say that they are unable to open Digital Wellbeing from within the Google Home app. Whenever they try to do so, they are greeted with the message ‘Couldn’t open settings, try again.’

Others complain that they are unable to modify their Digital Wellbeing settings from the Google Home app. This is really frustrating for those who use the feature on a daily basis.

Common troubleshooting steps such as reinstalling the app don’t help in fixing the issue. You can see the error that pops up in the image below.

They also shared a potential workaround that has helped some fix the Google Wifi Digital Wellbeing bug on iOS devices.

Hey, all. I don’t have a solid answer on a fix yet, but I did learn something today that might be causing this issue for some of you. You might have an issue with your permissions in iOS affecting Home’s ability to function fully. If you can review your app permissions in Home, there might be some permissions that need to be enabled to free things up. Take a quick look at that and see if it works for you. Thanks.
