Google Ads team aware video discovery ads not running for some YouTubers, but fix has no ETA (potential workaround inside)

Google Ads is one of the largest advertising platforms on the internet. Based on the pay-per-click advertising method, it is one of the best methods of advertising if you want to expand your business.

Formerly known as Google AdWords, advertisers applying to the platform need to bid to list their products to web users. It is Google’s main source of revenue and generated more than $168.6 billion in 2020.

Having said that, users rarely do run into some bugs and issues when using the service. A few months ago, some users reported that Google Ads showed incorrect dates on the June 2021 invoices.

Now, some Google Ads users are reporting (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) that YouTube Video discovery ads are not showing up for them. Many say that their discovery ads are approved but still, they are not running. Users are frustrated since it is affecting their revenue.

Moreover, the ads are getting zero views and impressions. People say the issue has been affecting them since August. This is really frustrating for those who depend solely on Google Ads to earn income.

My Video Discovery Ads is not running in india. and there is not any kind of extreme competition. Bacause When i create a 1 Minute duration ad with same targetings and location. they start serving at the cost of 0.06 INR But when i create an ad which is around 2 or 3 minute. then i did not get any single impression or views, but when i increase the bid around 100 times then i wait for 72 hours but it does not work…. So there is not any kind of competition in India. So Please Tell me

My Video Discovery Ad for my YT channel is approved but there are no impressions. I am from the UAE and promoting my channel to target audience in India but for the past 2 weeks none of my ads are running. Online chat and calls are not working. Online support is pathetic and the only reply they give is we are facing issues similar to this with many clients. We dont have a specific solution at the moment. I have tried everything from increasing the bid, change of target audience and using eligible keywords. Change of ad type also does not work. What is the solution guys?(Source)

A Platinum Product shared that the Google Ads team seems to be already aware of the issue and said users are unable to run discovery ads due to some technical issues.

However, they did not share any ETA on when it will be fixed. It is interesting to note that Google recently changed the name of YouTube discovery ads to ‘In-feed video ads.’
