Spotify is without a doubt one of the largest music streaming services on the planet, competing with the likes of Amazon Music and Apple Music.

With an ever-growing library of more than 70 million songs, Spotify is the only music streaming service that operates in more than 170 countries spread across the globe with more than 345 million monthly active users.

However, owing to the online-only nature of the platform, some bugs do make their way through and break functionality or two. Unsurprisingly, a new bug is affecting Spotify subscribers preventing them from sharing lyrics.

Some say that they can see the lyrics just fine, but the share button has completely disappeared for them. Many are wondering if Spotify removed it without any warning or if it is a bug.

Spotify users have tried generic resolutions such as clearing data, cache, and reinstalling the app but nothing fixes the lyrics sharing function. It is interesting to note that the lyrics sharing feature was introduced just last week.

I already reinstalled the app but still cant see lyrics on my phone. Got a family prenium account, work on some of them. Plus I got them if I create a new Free account on the same phone.

Lyrics Share button has disappeared for me. I can see the lyrics just fine but the share button that’s supposed to be in the bottom right corner of the lyrics page is not there. Anyone else?

Fortunately, it seems like Spotify is already aware of the lyrics sharing not working issue and said that it is currently under investigation. However, they did not share any ETA on when it will be fixed.

Hey everyone, We’re receiving reports that the Lyrics Sharing feature is not working. Before you keep on reading, note that this issue is different than not seeing Lyrics at all.

Subscribers are frustrated and angry with Spotify randomly rolling out features to users all over the world. And this is not the first time Spotify has broken or removed something. Users recently had several issues, such as background playback crashing on iOS 15.

Having said that, we will keep an eye out on the matter and update this space as and when required. In the meantime, those affected have no choice but to wait for Spotify to fix the issue.
