Jurassic World Evolution 2 Dinos getting stuck mid air issue acknowledged

Released on November 9 this year, Jurassic World Evolution 2 is the much-awaited successor to the Jurassic World Evolution. It is set after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, an action film that was released in 2018.

The business simulation game encourages players to capture various species of dinosaurs and build lagoons and enclosures so people can visit the park to learn more about them. It also features a dynamic territory system and an improved AI.

Jurassic Park Evolution 2 players are reporting (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) that their dinos are getting stuck mid air. Reports suggest that the dinos get stuck in flying animation and are unable to land. This causes them to starve and eventually die.

Players are frustrated and say that this has happened to them multiple times. Some are confused as to why their dinos are dying even though comfort is 100% perfect.

I was loving playing this game but for whatever reason it’s decided to start glitching out. I’ve lost all my campaign progress because the paths wouldn’t connect to the buildings on the california level so I couldn’t progress and reloading would just put me back to the glitched autosave. I’ve also had problems with flying dinos getting stuck in the air and not being able to land causing them to die of starvation and fail the mission.

I’m on the mission for the aviary. I have had multiple birds get stuck in the flying animation. Won’t land, eat, drink. Just fly in place until death. AND all the surviving ones are at 100% comfort, but the “keep captured Dino’s above 80%” countdown will not start. I’m so frustrated. Anyone experience these?

While some were able to tranq them by sending a medical car to heal and then using track them using darts, others were not so lucky since their flying reptiles were hard to reach.

As it turns out, Jurassic World Evolution 2 developers said they are aware that dinos are getting stuck mid air and are trying to find the root cause of the glitch, However, they did not share ETA on when it will be fixed.

In the meantime, Frontier Support has suggested a workaround that seems to be working for some.

Hey there, When the reptiles gets stuck, please try save and reload your park as this may resolve the issue. If this doesn’t work, please file a bug report over on our issue tracker https://issues.frontierstore.net/ so that our QA team can investigate further. – Scientist Walker
