New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on November 11, 2021) follows:

Launched in 2018, Among Us is an online multiplayer game developed and published by Innersloth. It gained massive popularity when some Twitch and YouTube streamers started playing the game during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The game recently received the biggest update to date and was updated to version v2021.11.9. It brings in new roles such as scientist, guardian angel, engineer and shapeshifter along with new cosmetics and cosmicubes.

Among Us Missing DLC

The developers release some new content from time to time in the form of skins and DLCs. That being said, some Among Us players are now saying that they have lost their DLCs after the latest update.

Some say they can see their DLC on the store but cannot find the corresponding items in the inventory. Players are frustrated since they are unable to use their favorite cosmetics.

hey so. as the title suggests I lost dlc packs and hats from update anyone know a fix, almost seems like my account was wiped without me knowing, my platform is steam, already contacted support but they seem to be busy and I was wondering if anyone had a fix for one or both problems (also not sure if it was patched or if its just a glitch but I already tried doing the date change thing and no luck for festive hats)

As of the latest update, i seem to no longer have my mini crewmate DLC, i have it in my account still, just dont actually have them in my inventory, is this happening to anyone else?

Thankfully, Among Us developers have acknowledged the issue and said that it is under investigation. Even though the developers haven’t shared any ETA about the same, it looks like a fix will be released soon.

did you get a pop up telling you to redeem your DLC when you started the game? no worries if not – it’s a bug we’re aware of, your DLC aren’t gone!! just the pop up is not showing up, it’ll be fixed asap

Players getting random bans

In addition to missing DLCs, it looks like some Among Us players are randomly getting banned for hacking with the message “Banned for hacking. Please stop.” Some are also getting timed out for intentionally leaving a game.

New update looks dope, shame I CAN’T PLAY IT BECAUSE MY PHONE CRASHES EVERY TIME I BOOT UP THE GAME And then because I crashed I get banned for two hours. I’m glad they are harshly punishing quitters but when my phone overheats and crashes from all the new updates I don’t want to be punished for it. The game is literally unplayable for me now.

So I literally got shapeshifter in my second game after this update dropped, and I attempted to shapeshift into another color, and I got kicked out of the game and it said that I was “Banned for hacking. Please stop.” Then I tried to join another game and now I am on a 72 minute cooldown for “intentionally leaving a game”. I was neither hacking nor did I leave the game voluntarily…Sounds like a bug to me

Fortunately, this issue has also been acknowledged with the developers saying they are working on fixing it. However, they did not share any ETA about the same.

the long ban times are a bug, sorry ;_; aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa we’re working on fixes!

We hope the Among Us missing DLC and random bans issue are fixed as soon as possible since they are preventing players from enjoying the latest content update. When they do, we will update this article so stay tuned for updates.

Update 1 (November 12)

06:38 pm (IST): A new bug-fixing update is live on Steam, Epic, Android, and Switch. It will also go live for iOS devices after approval from Apple.

This should fix the absurd ban times after disconnecting according to the patch notes.
