Forza Horizon 5, the exclusive racing video game from Microsoft, is being a great success due to the large amount of content and game modes it offers.

However, the game is not without technical glitches that need to be fixed soon, as they are reportedly affecting the experience of many players on PC.

Forza Horizon 5 potential memory leak issue on PC

A potential memory leak is one of the most reported problems by many Forza Horizon 5 players on PC. This would cause performance issues such as large fps drops and graphics degradation (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7).

I swear after playing the game for an hour or two it gets really laggy and like slows down, almost like the matrix or slow motion during races. Progressively after that starts happening frames and overall performance tanks and I have to restart the game in order to be able to play regularly again.

If it matter I am playing on a 3080Ti, i9 1100k and 32gbs of RAM. I’m not sure if it’s just me or if there really is a memory leak causing this to happen but the game becomes unplayable, wondering if anyone else is experiencing these issues on PC.

Crashes, connectivity, and steering wheels issues also reported

In addition to the memory leak, Forza Horizon 5 players are reporting other issues such as crashes, connectivity errors, and bugs with physical steering wheels.

According to reports, crashes can occur during races or when customizing a car. On the other hand, connectivity and steering wheel bugs cause sudden disconnections in both.

I would love to enjoy playing the game if it didn’t crash after every race or when I’m in the middle of upgrading a car
