Based on the Dragon Ball anime, Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle is a free-to-play video game available on iOS and Android. Developed by Akatsuki Inc. and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, it was released back in 2015.

The game has generated more than $3 billion in revenue and has been downloaded more than 350 million times. Coming to the game itself, it picks up elements from card, puzzle, and board games. It also features a story mode that reimagines the anime combining new characters with old ones.

With Bandai Namco Entertainment frequently dishing out new content to keep it fresh, some bugs and issues do pop up from time to time. The game also features in-game purchases that can help players speed up their progression.

Having said that, Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle players are now reporting that they are getting an error code 5048538. The error shows up when players try to pick up Stone bundles or other purchases making it impossible for them to make any in-game purchases.

This is really frustrating for those who were looking forward to buying Stones. Players say they tried clearing cache and reinstalling the game but the generic solutions do not seem to fix the issue.

Yo @DaTruthDT I’m getting an error code on dokkan 5048538 while getting stones u know what it means It already took money out of my account

The issue is frustrating a lot of players since they are getting the error after making the payment and are not awarded with the bundles. The reports indicate that it is most likely a server issue that only the developers can fix.

With the Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle development team yet to say anything regarding the error code 5048538, it is still unclear if and when the problem will be fixed.

We hope the developers fix the bug as soon as possible and think that Bandai Namco should compensate those who did not get their Stones bundles.

In the meantime, we will keep an eye on this one and update this space when the developers acknowledge or fix the error code. Till then, Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle will not be able to make any in-game purchases.
