Adobe is one of the most popular software development companies with a wide variety of products. In 2019, the company generated a revenue of more than $11 billion.

Some popular Adobe products include the much-loved Photoshop, Illustrator, and the recently released InDesign that was released a few days ago on October 25.

But, like all other software, Adobe Photoshop users do encounter some bugs and issues that sometimes make it unusable like the recent Photoshop 23.0 update that crashes the app on Windows-powered touchscreen devices.

Another Photoshop issue was causing the cursor to get stuck when users made use of the transform tool and the symbol font to not show up correct characters.

Having said that, it looks like another Photoshop glitch has surfaced where Save as & Export dialogs is not working when users connect it to an iPad or an external monitor or screen. Users say when they choose the “Save as” option, nothing happens.

Some say they have tried using the shortcut or clicking the option from the file menu but nothing seems to work right now. It seems that the bug appeared after the macOS Monterey update.

On further investigation, it seems like the issue is not limited to Photoshop but affects Adobe Illustrator and InDesign as well.

Critical Issues I am experiencing:
-New Files created, will not save, save as, or export to my computer desktop or any location on my computer. It will as to the cloud but I do not what I need it saved on the cloud, I need it on my computer. File Type Ai or PDF
-Old Files can be changed and saved in place. BUT will NOT, save the same file in a new location, “save as” a new version name (i.e. “filename” version 2 .ai) , save as a PDF or export art to any form of raster files.

Updated to macOS 12.0.1 and InDesign can’t save or export files anymore. What I tried with no success:
Delete Cache and Prefrences in the Library folder
Uninstall / Install InDesign
Rebooted the system
Logged out and in from my Adobe Account
Tried to use the Intel and M1 verison of InDesign. Same problems
So, clicking (or using the shortcuts) Save or Export, nothing happens. When I try to place another document the attatched, broken dialog appears.

Fortunately, an Adobe Employee said the company was aware of the Photoshop Save as not working issue and that they were working with Apple to come up with a fix.

We’re working on this issue with Apple. If you’re still in this state, you can capture a Sysdiagnose log with the following instructions to share: https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/59917/how-do-you-get-system-diagnostic-files-from-macos You can DM a link to your Sysdiagnose log.
