DirecTV, the satellite TV service, is having some problems on channel 105, which is intended to broadcast the World Series in 4K. It seems that some users have no sound on that channel.
And users are expressing their dissatisfaction on social media platforms.
DirecTV channel 105 has no sound for some users, can’t enjoy World Series in 4K
Why is the sound not working on the @DIRECTV 4K channel for the World Series? Is there a problem or is it just on my end?
Therefore, they could not fully enjoy this year’s highly anticipated World Series in 4K as they wanted.
Each year’s World Series is an event of great magnitude, so DirecTV assigned it a special channel where it will be broadcast in 4K. However, not having sound takes many points away from the experience.
In other cases, some reports indicate that while the channel’s sound is not completely muted, it allegedly does freeze from time to time without the user being able to do anything to fix it, which is quite frustrating.

Although the vast majority of reports are of problems with the sound on channel 105 of the satellite service, other users using DirecTV app have worse problems. For example, one of the reports describes the following:

So, for some DirecTV satellite users, the problem with channel 105 is the lack of sound, but for some DirecTV app users, there’s even no picture.
Being a paid service, and being the World Series a long-awaited annual event, the situation has raised complaints from many.
DirecTV is already aware and investigating
DirecTV support responded to early complaints by advising users to try to reboot their receiver. However, it seems that the problem would require more than that.

In their most recent replies, DirecTV support has confirmed to affected users that they are currently investigating the problem. However, there is still no estimated time in which the issue will be resolved.
