Ubisoft support acknowledges Far Cry 6 surgical extraction & autosave stuttering glitches

Released on October 7 this year, the latest installment in the beloved open-world Far Cry 6 series has had a rough start. Although visually stunning, the game seems to be plagued with bugs and glitches.

Recently, many reported that the Libertad Custom RPD was not showing up in their inventory or arsenal after they purchased it from Lola. Others complained that a recent update was causing the game to crash for some.

Despite the realistic graphics and solid mechanics, Far Cry 6 has turned out to be a glitch fest with players facing several issues that pop up every now and then.

And the game is showing no signs of slowing down. Many are now reporting that the game gets stuck on a black when Far Cry 6 should load a cut scene after completing the Surgical Extraction mission.

This is similar to the recently reported Sundown mission glitch.

This mission is game breaking, either start a new save (bye progress) or wait for a patch. Lot’s of people (including myself) have an issue: screen goes black after the operation ‘Surgical Extraction ‘. Nothing helps

I play ps4 and after the cutscene a black screen appears and nothing can be done or does someone have the same problem?

Thankfully, Ubisoft Support has acknowledged the issue and said they have identified the root cause. Moreover, they said that a fix will be deployed in an upcoming patch. However, there is no ETA for when the patch will come.

Apart from the glitches with the Surgical Extraction mission, players are also facing another issue. According to reports, many say they experience stuttering whenever Far Cry 6 makes an autosave.

It is interesting to note that Ubisoft has removed the ability to save manually. Players say the stutter mostly happens when try they to open a box or throw a grenade.

Also, some suggest that the bug existed in Far Cry 4, Far Cry 5, and even New Dawn but the developers never fixed it.

Is there still the stutter that occurs when you pick up items like a throwing knife or a granade and then the game saves everytime? That bug was in 5 and New Dawn and my last information about that was that the devs refused to fix this problem in New Dawn.

Anyone who has played the last few Far Cry games knows what I am speaking of. I was planning on picking this game up tonight and streaming, but remembered the stutter fix from the other Far Cry games. After a quick Google search, it seems the stuttering from autosave and mip mapping still exists. Does anyone know of a fix yet, or of anyone working on one?

Ubisoft Support said they were aware of some stuttering issues in Far Cry 6. But there is no word on if a fix is coming or not.
