Rocket League team aware of issue where players can't join tournaments or get left out from matches
If you are into football and love to play an arcade-style game, then Rocket League is the way to go. While Rocket League is easy to play, it is one of those titles that is hard to master.
Developed and published by Psyonix, Rocket League was released back in July 2015. It is the sequel to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. Having said that, Rocket League went free-to-play last year after Epic Games acquired it in 2019.
The game puts up to eight players against one another with both teams having rocket-powered cars which they can use to put the ball into their opponent’s goal. Rocket League features both casual games and be played competitively as well.
It is frequently updated with new content in the form of events and new cars and game modes that keep the game fresh. But these updates sometimes cause bugs and issues that ruin the gameplay experience.
For example, Rocket League players recently complained that they were unable to gain XP with weekly challenges not working for some. Now, many say that they are experiencing issues with tournaments.
According to recent reports from Rocket League players, the game randomly kicks players when playing a tournament with many saying they are left out from matches even though they queued up with friends.

@RocketLeague fix your game! Loaded in 20 minutes early only to have it crash and kick me from a tournament mid game! Loaded back up and the game crashed again!! Tried a third time and it said I left the game!!! Seriously?!

@RocketLeague teammate never got pulled into a match in the quarter finals of a tournament and we lost because of it. This has been happening since at least 2 seasons ago when I submitted a support ticket the first time it happened to us. Please fix your game @PsyonixStudios

This is really frustrating for those looking to play the game competitively. Fortunately, it looks like Psyonix is aware of the bug with Rocket League tournaments. The developers said it is a technical issue.
We’re sorry to hear that your team mate couldn’t join the quarter final of your tournament. We are aware that some tournaments can result in technical issues, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We assure you that your report will be forwarded to our team. Thanks!(Source)
However, they did not share any ETA on when the issue will be fixed. When Rocket League developers fix the ‘technical issues’ with tournaments, we will let you know so make sure you keep an eye out for updates.
