Original story (published on October 22, 2021) follows:

If you were wondering why you’re getting the error code P-DEV320 or the ‘We’re having trouble playing this’ message on Hulu, then you’re not alone.

Many Hulu subscribers over the past couple of hours haven’t been able to watch their favorite shows as they aren’t able to access anything on the platform due to the interruption.

Disgruntled users have taken to Twitter to report the problem. Here are a few reports for reference:

@hulu_support Why Error Code: p-dev320? We can connect to other streaming services (Source)

@hulu I pay for live streaming and I am trying to watch the Dodgers game. It keeps giving me an error P-DEV320 code and telling me to turn off my device and try again. (Source)

@hulu_support my rates are too damn high to be getting error messages during TNF and NLCS (Source)

The error even prevents users from signing in to their accounts, let alone allowing one to consume content on the platform.

That said, this isn’t the first time the Hulu subscribers are having to deal with the error code P-DEV320 issue.

A few days ago, PS5 users with Hulu subscriptions were unable to view content on Hulu due to the error. However, the streaming service was working fine on other platforms.

But it seems rather than being fixed, the issue is now popping up on all platforms. Luckily, Hulu is already on top of the problem and have confirmed that all hands are on deck to fix it.

While Hulu’s support team hasn’t given a definitive ETA for a fix, it’s likely that it will be fixed sooner rather than later.

That said, we’ll post an update if and when there are any further developments regarding the error code P-DEV320 or ‘We’re having trouble playing this’ message on Hulu.

Update 1 (March 05)

01:05 pm (IST): Although Hulu acknowledged this issue months ago, users are still complaining about it. And yet, support says that they are investigating it.

Update 2 (November 29, 2022)

03:02 pm (IST): It seems that the P-DEV320 error code has resurfaced for some Nvidia shield users (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8). However, the issue has been acknowledged by the team but there is no ETA for a fix yet.

Apologies for the ongoing difficulty! Our team is still investigating this behavior. Unfortunately, we don’t have an ETA to share on a fix at this time, but we’ll continue to share your experience with our team.
