Fallout 76 issue where trick or treat icon appears when it shouldn't after recent update gets acknowledged
If you’re fond of action role-playing games, then you must have heard of ‘Fallout’ series by Bethesda Softworks. Since its initial release in 1997, we have seen various video games in this series.
Among them, Fallout 76 is one of the popular role-playing game released on November 14, 2018. Developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks, this video game is available on Windows, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Fallout 76 players have recently received a new software update with several changes in Spooky Scorched and Trick or Treat. However, some players have been facing a problem after the latest update.
As per multiple reports (1, 2, 3), players are complaining that trick and treat icon is showing in a place where it shouldn’t. Players have confirmed that this is happening after they downloaded the recent update.
Here are some reports for reference:
#Fallout76 Trick or Treaters~ Come take my candy. Y’all are the slowest damn Trick or Treaters in all the wasteland!!! Plus, you will now have candy for your empty bowls! Ty (Source)
Anyone struggling with trick or treaters, if you have multiple toons, get someone to help you & just swap them. You don’t need to wait an hour & it counts as separate visits. Sod waiting for randoms 🤣 👍 #Fallout76 #fallout (Source)
The latest patch mentioned that C.A.M.P. will display a pumpkin icon on the map when you add a mystery candy to your Spooky Candy Bowl. This will let the other dwellers know if there’s a candy in your bowl.
But due to this glitch, the icon is also showing even when there is no candy in the bowl which is making it confusing for players.
On the brighter side, Bethesda Support has acknowledged this Fallout 76 trick or treat icon issue and it is currently under investigation. However, no ETA has been provided as to when this bug will actually be fixed.
There is no temporary workaround available at the moment so you’ll have to wait for devs to fix it. We hope the annoying bug gets sorted out as soon as possible and players can get back to playing the game as usual.
That said, we will keep you updated on the further development of the Fallout 76 trick or treat icon issue as and when anything new comes to our notice.
