While the update is indeed labeled as stable, early reports from some Chromebook users suggest quite the opposite.

As per multiple reports, Chromebook users, particularly those with Hatch boards, are facing performance issues with Android apps after the stable Android 11 update.

Most user reports indicate that the issues are with Acer Chromebook Spin 713 but other Hatch Chromebook users are also affected.

It seems that users are unable to use certain Android apps after the Android 11 update whereas the apps that are working are a bit slower.

Users are facing performance issues with apps like NBC Sports, PS Remote Play, and even the Play Store itself.

Also, a user reported that they are facing scaling issues with the Fios TV and Netflix apps where the content does not fit the screen and Netflix homepage overflows.

As mentioned before, affected devices include Acer Chromebook Spin 713, Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i Chromebook, HP Chromebook x360 14c, and Samsung Galaxy Chromebook.

Since the stable Android 11 update for the said Chromebooks came out pretty recently, reports related to performance issues are just starting to surface.

However, one of the affected users was able to get rid of the said issues by reinstalling Android whereas another user reported that they are not facing any issues at all.
