Adobe Photoshop is one of the finest and feature-packed photo editing tools available on Windows and macOS. It is used by many professionals, organizations, and businesses around the world.

It was initially introduced in 1990 and since then, this software has become a popular tool in graphics editing and digital art.

But lately, some Photoshop users are complaining about several issues with this software where symbol fonts are not showing correct characters and the cursor getting stuck when using the transform tool.

The Adobe Photoshop stuck cursor and Symbol fonts problems are likely bothering Windows users as we haven’t come across such issues with users on macOS.

When users try to use the transform tool by double-clicking any image, the cursor sticks to the item which forces them to transform anyway. This becomes annoying especially when they just wanted to move the image instead of resizing it.

Dear all –
Somehow I have lost the ability to use Symbol fonts in the Photoshop. The name “Symbol” is still in the drop-down menu, but all I get is squares instead of letters.
Operating system is Windows10, 64-bit if that helps.

On the other hand, users are also not able to use Symbol fonts in Photoshop. While the Symbol option is still showing in the drop-down menu, it only shows squares instead of letters.

Fortunately, an Adobe Employee has acknowledged the Symbol issue and provided a workaround that affected users can try at the moment.

I’ve asked engineering to investigate as I can reproduce. There is a workaround. Open up the glyphs panel and you can select boxes of text and doubleclick the glyph in the Glyphs panel to populate it. (Source)

Moreover, the issue with the transform tool has also been noticed by an Adobe employee. They say that this bug has been identified and the team is currently working to resolve it.

However, no ETA has been provided as to when exactly this bug will be permanently fixed. We hope that devs sort out this issue as soon as possible.

That said, we will keep you informed on the further development of the Adobe Photoshop stuck cursor issue and Symbol font bugs as and when anything new comes to our notice.
