[Update: Oct 12] Brawl Stars in-game characters turning black or missing texture issue officially acknowledged

Supercell released a new patch fix for Brawlstars on April 6, 2020. The patch brought in balance changes, bug fixes, and gameplay fixes, which can be checked here. Like other Supercell games, Brawlstars has also grown immensely popular.

Brawl stars was released on June 15, 2017. The game is a massive online multiplayer arena-style battle game. The game is available to play on iOS and Android as well. Players team up in pairs of three to battle against each other.

As of now, many players have been reporting that some of their in-game characters have been turning black. It can also be noted that the maps as well have the same black textured glitch in various parts. Here is how some players on Reddit reacted to this black textured glitch:

I lost the game cuz the whole map was black wtf brawl stars ??? Even my friends who I was playing with saw that!i need my win back !!

We are aware of the missing texture issues in the Championship Challenges. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to fix it today as stopping the servers now would ruin the experience for many players.

For now, force-closing your game and opening it back should fix it.
