Original story (published on October 09, 2021) follows:

If you are into website development, specifically e-commerce, then you must have heard of Shopify at some point in time. It is an e-commerce platform that helps users host their online stores.

In the last few years, the company has transformed itself into one of the most competitive commerce platforms that caters to businesses of all sizes. With clients spread across 175 countries, you can find everything and anything being sold on Shopify.

Shopify also offers a free 14-day trial in case you want to try the service before getting onboard. The company generated revenue amounting to $2.93 billion in 2020.

Having said that, it is quite rare for users to encounter bugs and issues on the platform. But since the developers are adding new features to the platform, sometimes users might experience a glitch or two.

Recently, some Shopify users started that they were having trouble with Shopify Analytics reporting. While some complained that there was a significant delay in the Stats in the Shopify app, others said that the “converted session” was lagging.

In case you are unaware, the analytics and reports give the website owner insight into their store’s recent activity including store speed, visitors, and transactions.

So @Shopify has a reoccurring issue with the conversion rate widget where the ‘converted sessions’ lags well behind the actual number. I know this but I still can’t stop the panic setting in when I see this

I’ve also noticed this! Almost a 50% differential in sessions converted on that widget yesterday compared to the actual number of orders.

@Shopify Not looking for support, just reporting that we’ve noticed a significant delay in the Stats/Totals updating in the Shopify app for our store sales. It usually happens pretty quickly, but lately it’s been very, very slow.

Fortunately, Shopify developers seem to be aware of the issue and said that it is currently under investigation. They also said that the glitch will be fixed soon. However, the company did not share any ETA about the same.

Hey, Dave. Thanks for reaching out. We are aware of a delay in analytics reporting on the Dashboard in the Shopify admin and our developers are investigating and working on a fix as we speak. – Tira

We hope Shopify fixes the delayed analytics issue as soon as possible since many users want to view their stats in real-time. When they do, we will update this space so make sure you keep an eye out.
