Battlefield is one of the most popular series of FPS video games that was initially released in 2002. Since then, we have seen a series of games in this lineup and the latest one is Battlefield 2042.

This video game will come as a successor to Battlefield V and will be officially launched in November this year.

Battlefield 2042 is currently available in beta version and it’s no surprise that it may have some glitches at this stage.

As such, some new issues have come to light where Battlefield 2042 beta players are complaining about missing Aim Assist on console version and horrible flight controls.

No one would want to miss their aim in a do-or-die situation. Errors like the missing Aim Assist may cost you a whole game and this kind of software glitch can ruin your gaming experience.

Loving the beta so far but I noticed there isn’t any aim assist. Concerning considering there will be crossplay against pc which is a straight up big disadvantage. (Source)

Played one game on PS5. There’s just no aim assist. As a usual MKB player, I was struggling to aim. Just me or did anyone else feel that there was no aim assist? Wish I could just play on my PC but I’d get sub 60 fps. (Source)

Looking at multiple reports (1, 2, 3, 4), the aim assist issue, which is affecting console gamers specifically, seems widespread. On the flip side, Aim Assist is available for PC players but it disappears when playing with a controller.

This makes it harder to compete for console players when playing on a cross-platform against PC gamers who have Aim Assist enabled.

Gamers are speculating that devs might have removed this feature from the game. But for now, there’s no way to justify these claims.

Secondly, a bulk of complaints (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) have been found regarding flight controls on Battlefield 2042 beta. Several players have reported that the helicopter gameplay is horrible. The controls are a bit confusing and not as smooth as expected.

All these flight control issues are haunting Xbox players and they aren’t able to customize flight controls in beta, while the default controls don’t seem to be going by player’s expectations.

This is another concern for the gamers, as they are unable to fly in the right way and often end up crashing.

Ok the air vehicle controls in 2042 are horrible. Who the hell thought they were a good idea at DICE? I crash so much and can’t understand how to fly right (Source)

@Battlefield I don’t like the flight controls (bring back BF4 controls), and the spatial audio is not on par (I could hear my own foot steps behind me). AND WHERE IS THE COMMANDER!?!?!? #BattlefieldBeta (Source)

There is still no word on this matter from Battlefield 2042 developers, but we expect EA to acknowledge these annoying bugs and roll out a fix as soon as possible.

Also, currently, there is no workaround that players can try for now in order to bring the Aim Assist feature back on the console version or customize flight controls.

All in all, you’ll need to wait for devs to fix these problems. We hope that they get sorted out soon so that players can once again enjoy the game without any issues.

That said, we will keep you updated on the further development of Battlefield 2042 missing Aim Assist issue and broken flight controls as and when we receive anything new.
