[Update: Oct. 07] Insurgency issue where gold edition DLC is locked after purchasing to get fixed on priority, says support

Developed by New World Interactive, Insurgency is an FPS multiplayer video game that was released in January 2014 for Windows and Linux.

Seeing its popularity, New World Interactive launched its sequel in 2018 called Insurgency: Sandstorm.

This video game is available to play on different gaming platforms such as PlayStation, Xbox, and Windows.

Lately, some Insurgency players have reported issues with the gold edition of the game. Fresh reports from those who have purchased the gold edition indicate that they still don’t have access to the DLC.

If players try to go to access the downloadable content, then a message pops up that it needs to be purchased, even though players have already made the payment for accessing the DLC.

So for those like me that bought the gold edition how are we going to get the dlc if it’s showing we only own the base game? (Source)

This seems a big issue as the main content of the game is itself inaccessible. And no one would want to have this kind of issue when they have already paid the amount.

However, the official support team has acknowledged the Insurgency gold edition DLC bug. Moreover, the game’s support team confirmed that the team’s working on this with high priority.

So it’s highly likely that the issue will be fixed sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, there’s no ETA for when we can expect a resolution.

Meanwhile, a user suggested a workaround that may help you get back to the game with access to all the DLCs.

When in the game, you need to try and equip one or two items from the list of items you purchased or the DLC items and save them to the preset.

By the time you equip those items, every other thing will lock again. Now repeat the same process until you manage to get all the items you need and save them to the final preset while deleting other presets that you saved before.

For another user, the gold edition items automatically became available after playing a few games. So, you can try and check if these two above-mentioned workarounds work or not.

Otherwise, you may just have to wait until a patch goes live or if there’s a change from the server-end.
