Original story (published on Ocotober 05, 2021) follows:

Developed by DICE and built using the Frostbite engine, Battlefield 2042 is an upcoming video game in the long-running Battlefield franchise.

The first-person shooter is scheduled to be released on November 19 this year and is the first Battlefield game with no single-player campaign mode.

Moreover, Battlefield 2042 will also be the first title in the series to support cross-platform gameplay. The game is set in the near future and supports a massive lobby that can handle up to 128 players, ensuring constant gunfight and utter chaos.

The game also features destructible environments combined with dynamic storms and natural hazards. Having said that, EA said they would give access to players who have pre-ordered the game.

But it looks like players are having issues pre-loading the game. Recent user reports indicate that many are unable to pre-load Battlefield 2042 beta.

Some say that even though they were able to download the game, they haven’t received the beta code. Gamers are wondering what they need to do in order to download the beta and get the code.

I pre-ordered the game a couple of weeks ago and got sent a beta code a couple of days after. I entered it into the Playstation Store that day and it confirmed that the code was accepted for the BF2042 beta however it didn’t give me a link for a download. I assumed that it was because the beta hadn’t been announced yet or wasn’t active yet and I would get access to a download link when it was available but I can’t seem to find anything. Anyone else have this issue? Did you find a fix?

So I’ve pre-ordered bf2024 but still haven’t received my code from amazon. I just checked psn and the beta is available to download now and I can indeed download it. So is there then a activation code you need to put in once you open the bf 2042 app? It’s pretty confusing.

As it turns out, those who ordered using EA Play will automatically get Beta access to the game without the need for a code.

Hi Jake, Thanks for getting in touch and for your interest in Battlefield 2042. My understanding is that with EA Play, you’ll get automatic access to the Beta through your membership without needing a separate Beta code. Pre-load will be available… https://bit.ly/3DcJALL
