Xfinity from Comcast offers three basic services, namely – TV, Internet, and telecom. Comcast formed the brand back in 2010 to differentiate their services since they were expanding at a rapid pace.

Users can opt for a bundle or two or all three services at a discounted price. Having said that, Xfinity subscribers often encounter some bugs and issues every now and then.

Recently, Xfinity Flex Box users complain that they were getting the error ENT-22013 with their box stuck on the refresh button.

Now it looks like another issue has surfaced. This time, Xfinity subscribers report that the DVR recording functionality is not working.

Many reported that their scheduled recording has disappeared and they are unable to record any new shows. Some users also reported that they were getting a subscription error and missing some channels.

This is a really serious issue since a lot of users make use of the DVR function to record their favorite shows while others are unable to watch their subscribed channels.

I cannot set anything to record, and my recording I have scheduled on this and other tiered channels (Antenna TV, Discovery and NatGeo) have disappeared from the scheduler. Trying to set a recording gives me the same “you must be subscribed” error.

@Xfinity @comcast another customer here with the “subscription needed” DVR error. No cable stations (ones I pay for) will record but main stations are fine. Tried to call but wait time is 30 min. Just wanted to let you know.

It looks like Xfinity is aware of the missing DVR recordings and subscription errors. They are said they are working on fixing it but did not share any ETA.

Hi, thanks for letting us know you’re having issues with the DVR. We’re aware of the issue and our team is working to get this resolved as soon as possible. We don’t have an estimated time of resolution. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

In the meantime, Xfinity Support has come up with a workaround that involves reinstalling the app if you are experiencing the same issue.

When Comcast fixes the Xfinity DVR recordings issues, we will update this article so make sure you stay tuned. Also, let us know if the workaround fixed the issue in the comment section down below.
