Incoming is a service outage alert!

Is Google Nest down, and not working for you? Please be informed that the service is seemingly going through an outage in some regions of the US which has got the affected users to route to micro-blogging site Twitter and other online discussion platforms to highlight their concern.

Going by reports, Google nest camera, app, and website are down. Take a look at what some of those affected have to say:

#GoogleNest Nest is down. App and website login is acting super flaky and camera are rendered non-functional. However my door locks are working. Open season for smart doorbell thieves I guess.

In between the proliferating reports, @googlenest is now telling the affected users to reboot their devices.

Hi Mike, thanks for the report. We’d like to take a closer look into this — try rebooting your router, Nest devices and phone to see if you’ll get the same result.

Update 2 (Dec 06)

According to the Nest server status page, Nest Cam Video Live and Nest Cam Video History are suffering outages.

Update 3 (Dec 06)

Nest team has finally responded on the matter saying the issue is being looked into.

Update 4 (Dec 06)

Now the Nest server status page has also been updated stating “camera connectivity impacted” (investigating).

Update 5 (Dec 06)

As per the latest update on the Nest server status page, the status of the problem has been changed from ‘Investigating’ to ‘Identified.’ Let’s hope the issue gets sorted soon. Rest assured, we’ll keep you updated.

Update 6 (September 27, 2021)

10:05 am (IST): Google Nest support has confirmed that they are aware of a partial outage with the service. According to the official status page, the Nest login outage is under investigation and the Setup & Pairing, Nest Apps, and Nest Cam Live Video services are facing an outage.

03:20 pm (IST): Nest support has confirmed that the wider outage has been fixed and the service should be functioning again.
