[Update: Sep. 24] Among Us not working on iPhone & other platforms, issue gets acknowledged
New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…
Original story (published on September 21, 2021) follows:
A quick look at micro-blogging site Twitter conveys that many are affected by the same issue across other platforms like Xbox. As per multiple reports, while some say Among Us is not working on iPhone, for others it just keeps on loading then takes them back to the home screen.
For a quick glance, here’s how some of the complainants word the problem:
im trying to sign in to among us with steam play (a windows compatibility layer for linux/mac) but all i get is a infinite spinning mini crewmate, is there a fix?
Them Xbox servers been down for a long time hasn’t they…
For me it is not loading on my iPhone. It just loads the three dots when I click find game or load game and it will load forever then just take me back to the Home Screen
I tried turning my iPhone on and off
Down detector – a popular service that gives information about live outages – also conveys that Among Us servers were indeed down but the number of reports has now declined which indicates that the issue might have been resolved now.
However, Among Us support has not made any comments on whether the issue has been fixed or not since they acknowledged it stating that their servers are down.
While the issue might soon get resolved as Among Us is working on a fix, this is still based on speculation as game support has not provided any ETA for the fix.
Rest assured, we’re keeping a continuous tab on all related developments, and will update this page with relevant info as and when we come across any. So in case you’re encountering the problem discussed here, stay hooked for updates.
