Vimeo aware of issues with broken video thumbnails & video not uploading (Sorry video does not exist), fix in the works

Vimeo has gradually grown to become a widely used service in the USA that offers video sharing, hosting, and other useful business-related services.

This platform lets you create high-definition videos using paid tools, host videos at a central and secure location, and reach maximum clients using video marketing tools.

Well, if you are using Vimeo in your daily routine then you might be aware of the current issues, or have you encountered one? Multiple reports from the users have come up suggesting some serious bug while uploading new content on the platform.

As such, a bug that iterates ‘Sorry video does not exist’ when you try to upload a video to a pro account, is bothering many users. Moreover, the same problem has also shown up with multiple iframe embedded.

Another user has reported a strange thumbnail problem. It was reported that suddenly all the video thumbnail URLs are broken when the user tries to reimport a video.

These kinds of annoying bugs seem big and should not appear more often as they completely hinder the ongoing work and could cause loss to the user’s business.

After getting frustrated with the Vimeo video uploading issues and thumbnail problems, the users have reported them on social media platforms such Twitter and Reddit and asked for a fix as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, the officials over at Vimeo have responded to these issues which seems widespread. The company stated that the team is very well aware of both the problems and is working to resolve them.

This is what Vimeo stated on both the issues:

We’re aware of a situation with video thumbnails on custom apps/cached video thumbnail URLs (where the URLs are cached on the customer’s end and are not verified via URL with the Vimeo servers). This can be fixed by initiating an API call – please DM for instructions! – Source
