YouTube TV is quite popular when it comes to live TV streaming services with more than 3 million subscribers. It is supported across numerous platforms including smart TVs and streaming media players.

While the service is indeed used by many across multiple devices, it also has its own set of bugs and issues. Now, one such issue appears to be troubling YouTube TV subscribers.

As per multiple reports, the YouTube TV Custom (Live) Guide is not working as expected when users are customizing it. Reports clearly outline that the Custom Guide in YouTube TV is resetting to default on its own.

This is inconveniencing many YouTube TV subscribers as they are unable to customize the channel order as per their convenience. Reports even outline that this issue with Custom Guide is present across multiple devices.

Apart from that, some users have even pointed out that they are getting the ‘Sorry, changes won’t be saved’ message while customizing the Guide as per their requirements.

I keep trying to edit my channel order on the YouTube tv app and every time I move a channel up or down the list it just says “sorry-changes won’t be saved” it just keeps saying this over and over

Anyone having issues adjusting the guide to a custom list?

I was using YTTV earlier today on Roku without issue.

I just came back to it and my custom guide basically reset across all devices. And it’s also not saving a new guide when I try to set it up.

Anyone else have this happen?

I’m an Apple/iOS user.

There is also no workaround for this issue and it is also unclear what the exact cause of the problem is. However, affected users may not face it for too long.

Since many YouTube TV subscribers have been reporting that Custom Guide is not working for them, YouTube support has escalated the issue to the relevant team.

While it is unclear whether the developers are working on a fix for this problem, it is still good news that user reports are being forwarded to them.

Thus it is safe to assume that YouTube TV subscribers can expect improvements for Custom (Live) Guide in the future. However, this is still based on speculation.

This is because not much details about fixes or improvements have been shared by YouTube support. So, only time will tell how this problem will be handled.

Hopefully, the teach giant soon resolves this issue with the YouTube TV Live Guide so that users can customize it as per their needs without any hassle.

That said, we will keep tracking this issue for further developments and will report back with more details as and when we get new information to share so stay tuned.
