New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…
Original story (published on September 17, 2021) follows:
COD: Vanguard is the latest game in the Call of Duty franchise. Developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision, it will be released on November 5, 2021.
One of the main attractions is the game’s multiplayer game mode that features over 20 maps. Having said that, COD: Vanguard Beta began just a week ago on September 10.
It is set during the events that take place during World War 2 in the Pacific, North Africa, and both Eastern and Western fronts. Moreover, the game will be integrated with COD: Warzone post-launch.
If you are wondering if the new game will feature the much-loved Zombie mode, we want to tell you that Treyarch Studios has tied up with Sledgehammer Games to bring the new feature.
Obviously, many were eager to get their hands on the Beta. But it looks like COD: Vanguard players on the Xbox are facing some graphical bugs.
The graphical bugs include screen tearing, jerking, constant flashing, and green flashes.
Some say that the bugs are causing their screen to show static noise. Many say that the graphical glitches are rendering the game unplayable for them.
You can see how bad the graphical bug looks in the video below:
Im really enjoying the maps on this game. All big variety and vibrant. The graphics ate great and gameplay is fun. My only issue on xbox is what others have pointed out..bad graphical bugs including screentear and screen jerking. Please fix asap.

@SHGames @CallofDuty @CallofDutyUK @Activision Vanguard, overall, is decent, but on there are a HUGE amount of graphical bugs, including flickering screen, green flashes and may result in photosensitive epilepsy, and on ps4, trigger deadzones are too long even if you make it 0.

Yesterday, Sledgehammer Games acknowledged the COD: Vanguard graphical bug on the Xbox and said that they were investigating it.
Now, COD: Vanguard developers say that the graphical bugs are related to playing the game at 120Hz with the resolution set at 4K. They also advised gamers to reduce it to 60Hz.
However, players said that they were having the issue even when they switched to 60Hz. While it is okay for the beta to have such bugs, we hope the developers fix the issue before launching it worldwide.
We will update once the developers fix the graphical bugs on the Xbox version of COD: Vanguard, so keep an eye out on this space.
In the meantime, let us know if switching from 120Hz to 60Hz on COD: Vanguard fixed the graphical bugs for you in the comments section below.
Update 1 (September 21)
12:50 pm (IST): Sledgehammer Gamers now says it has rolled out an update that should reduce graphical bugs and improve playability on the Xbox.
