Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is one of the most enjoyable games in the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

Set after the events of Odyssey and Origins, Valhalla follows the story of Eivor, a Viking from Norway who helps his people settle in the fertile English Isles.

Players have been enjoying the game for over a year now, thanks to the constant expansion packs and events Ubisoft pushes frequently.

But the recently released TU 1.3.1 update has introduced some bugs in the game such as the ‘New Quest’ pop-up glitch. Having said that, it looks like another issue has surfaced on the internet.

Several reports indicate that Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla players cannot retroactively unlock trophies or achievements even after they have met the requirements for the same.

It looks the issue is not limited to one trophy or achievement but affects many. While the developers had deployed a fix for the very same issue back in patch TU 1.2.1, it looks like the patch did not fix the problem.

Hello everyone. I also transferred my PS4 save on my PS5 last night and I have the same issues as everyone else. I already got the platinum on PS4. So after completing Redas daily quest, all trophies popped except 10. 5 of those trophies are miscellaneous and are pretty easy to do even on my current save so im not gonna mention them, but the rest are the same as everyone else.

After the newest update, most of my trophies from the base game popped on my PS5. Exceptions:
Base game: Rampage, Caladfwlch
Wrath of the Druids: every trophy
Mastery Challenge: All That Glitters
Unlocked on PS4, not unlocked on PS5

The developers also acknowledged they were getting reports even after the patch and that it was under investigation.

Many thought that the developers would fix it in the TU 1.3.1 update nothing to date has come up till now. However, the developers have acknowledged the issue once again and said that the issue is currently under investigation.

As of now, there is no information on what causes the trophies and achievements to stay locked despite meeting requirements.

The developers are still collecting reports to learn what triggers the bug, and there is no fix in sight right now. Players are frustrated since those who want to complete the game are unable to do so.

Many say that Ubisoft was aware of the issue for months now but decided to do nothing about it.

We wonder what is taking Ubisoft so long to fix the Valhalla issue where trophies and achievements cannot be retroactively unlocked.

When the developers come up with new information, we will update this article so keep sure to keep an eye out.
