Just in case you’re racking your brain wondering why NBA 2K22 isn’t working for you, find solace in the fact that you aren’t the only one facing issues lately.

A quick look at the micro-blogging site Twitter reveals there are many other are affected as well. As per reports, the basketball game isn’t working at all for the past hour or so.

Complainants state that they’re having trouble even starting up the game as it keeps throwing errors like 4b538e50 and even crashes. For a quick glance, here are some of the reports:

@NBA2K I didnt buy last years game and I’m already regretting buying this years. Servers being down day one is inexcusable. Something needs to change with this company. Just shows they dont give a shit about their community.

Down detector – a popular service that gives information about live outages – also conveys that NBA 2K22 is indeed going through a glitch as can be seen in the image below:

While the spike has dropped down from its peak now, fresh reports on Twitter are still trickling in, indicating that there’s still no respite from problems on NBA 2K22.

The game was only released a few hours ago today so those that have just purchased it opened up the game for the first time, only to run into errors and crashes. Definitely not the best first impression that can be made.

Any official word on the matter? Negative, as of yet. We’re yet to locate a word from the official service channels or their social media handles.

04:08 pm (IST): The social media team behind NBA 2k22 posted a couple of tweets regarding the delays players were facing while trying to launch and play the title.

01:29 pm (IST): NBA 2K22 players may find some solace in the fact that the developers have rolled out a new patch for the PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox series X, and the Xbox series S that brings stability improvements amongst a couple of other fixes.

02:51 pm (IST): It appears that NBA 2K22 players just can’t catch a break with the new title. Fresh reports indicate that many are experiencing problems with the game’s servers.

02:21 pm (IST): NBA 2K now says that the latest patch is live on PS5, Xbox Series X, and S and brings stability improvements while fixing several issues.

01:33 pm (IST): A new patch has been released for NBA 2K22 for the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 which brings more stability improvements and other fixes as per the release notes.

03:15 pm (IST):2K servers are down and not working as per user reports on Twitter. This could be why people are reporting issues with NBA 2K22 as well. Down Detector also conveys the same.

10:09 am (IST): Many gamers have taken to Twitter (1, 2) to report that NBA 2K servers are currently down or not working for them. Also, reports on Downdetector suggest the same.

06:33 pm (IST): According to reports on Downdetector, the recent outage with 2K servers has now been resolved.
